Why we started, what drives us
Life Works of Cayuga County began with a clear purpose: to support individuals on their path to recovery and to foster a more understanding community. Our mission is deeply rooted in the belief that everyone deserves a second chance and access to the resources needed for a healthy, fulfilling life. We are driven by the resilience of those in recovery and the unwavering support of our community.
Who we help, what they need
Our primary focus is on helping addicts and individuals in recovery within Cayuga County, New York. We understand that their biggest needs include access to vital services, transportation to counseling and support meetings, and a strong, supportive network. Life Works provides assistance to meet these needs, ensuring that barriers to recovery are removed, and pathways to a better future are opened.
Making a real difference every day
Life Works of Cayuga County makes a tangible difference through various initiatives. We organize events like our annual Walk to Recover, which not only raises crucial funds but also brings the community together to celebrate recovery and raise awareness. We facilitate access to essential resources, such as providing bus passes for individuals to attend recovery counseling, NA, and AA meetings. Through bake sales, recovery walks, car shows, etc. We also co-sponsor events with other community entities. We work hard to foster community understanding and support for those on their recovery journey.
